How to run Linux / Ubuntu 20.04 LTS in your Windows 11

Not many people know that you can run Ubuntu 20.04 LTS in your Windows 11.

Microsoft created something called “Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL)”.

The Windows Subsystem for Linux lets developers run a GNU/Linux environment — including most command-line tools, utilities, and applications — directly on Windows, unmodified, without the overhead of a traditional virtual machine or dualboot setup.

To install you have to open Windows PowerShell as Administrator and run the command “wsl — install” as you can see below:

Reboot/Restart your Windows 11.
